This free, family-friendly event features displays and activities from over 30 local environmental, nonprofit, and governmental organizations; live animal demonstrations; hands-on activities; live entertainment; green building & commuting technologies; energy topics; water awareness; sustainable agriculture; and more.

Throughout the event, Learning Presentations will be given in the DTE Energy House to give visitors an opportunity to learn how to make every day Earth Day! Also to enjoy are the educator-led hikes through Black Pond Woods, wind-energy demonstrations, live-animal presentations, and so much more!

Join us at 2:15 for our All-Species Parade where all are encouraged to dress as their favorite flora or fauna and prance, buzz or frolic around the site.

At 2:30, come enjoy a show from local-area singer, song-writer, and educator Joe Reilly.

Food trucks joining us from 12-4 include Ray's Red Hots, Hero or Villain, and Shimmy Shack!

In the true spirit of Earth Day, this festival will again be a Zero Waste event, with the help from Recycle Ann Arbor. Visitors are strongly encouraged to "go green" and carpool, bus, bike, or walk to the festival. Washtenaw Bicycling and Walking Coalition will be offering a free bike corral to those that ride in and the AATA Route 23 and 65 stop at Plymouth Rd., only a short walk from the event.

Ann Arbor’s Earth Day Festival is a free event thanks to local donors and sponsors!
